Context
The Knowledge & Impact Centre (KIC) at the King Baudouin Foundation, created in 2024, is an interactive space aiming to facilitate & stimulate the exchange of learnings and experiences and to amplify the impact of KBF and its partners, notably through fostering collaboration, developing innovative tools, and leveraging data, AI and collective intelligence.
To strengthen our offering, internally but also externally, we are looking for a Data & Impact Scientist to join our Knowledge & Impact - Strategy Team.
Your responsibilities
- You collect, analyse and visualise data
- You integrate external data/statistics into the analyses to rationalise and interpret the findings
- You help analyse KBF’s impact and that of its initiatives
- You identify data- and impact-related projects that could have added value to KBF and its partners
- You capture societal needs based on internal data and external listening tools
- You advise and assist colleagues on data-related questions
- You build real-time dashboards as well as static visualisations
- You develop technical tools and/or AI-applications for automating certain tasks
- You contribute to ad hoc requests alongside the team
Your profile
- You have a good competency in data-related tasks
- You have a strong interest in societal challenges and want to contribute to projects that have a meaningful societal impact
- You can identify how data projects can add value to societal challenges
- You have a sharp eye for details
- You are solution-oriented
- You communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and speaking, across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- You are collaborative, yet comfortable working on your own
- You embrace new challenges as opportunities to learn and evolve
- You have experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, …)
- You have experience with one or more programming languages (Python, JS, SQL, …)
- Experience in PowerBI and/or Azure is a plus.
- You are fluent in Dutch and/or French and have a good understanding of the other language. You can express yourself in English.
